For the facilitator

An easygoing afternoon, at your pace.

Bring these handouts or show the presentation on a shared screen. Have a look through the material first and choose what suits your group.

  1. Welcome · 3 minutes. Introduce Japan and point to it on the map. Invite everyone to participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
  2. Look together · 5 minutes. Show the photograph. Ask what people notice: shapes, water, colors, or the mountain. Give people time to respond.
  3. Discover · 5–10 minutes. Read each question and both choices aloud. Invite an answer, then share the fact. Skip questions whenever helpful.
  4. Conversation · 5–10 minutes. Choose one or two prompts. Welcome different preferences and finish by asking where the group would like to travel next.

Make it comfortable: read aloud, offer two simple choices, and allow extra time. Personal memories are optional; people can talk about what they notice or enjoy instead. A shorter session is fine.
