Your learning data, explained

Neither edition requires an account. A learner does not need to give EFX Technical Solutions LLC an email address or create an online profile to use the apps.

Ordinary practice is stored on the device. If you use Adult-Guided Learning in the EDU edition, its records are stored there too. Depending on what you use, local learning data can include:

• •learner nicknames
• •assignments and sessions
• •practice and quiz attempts
• •progress and checkpoints
• •workspace settings and preferences

The app does not send these local records to EFX. Adults and schools should still use non-sensitive learner nicknames and manage the device appropriately.

Because the app does not send local learning records to EFX, EFX cannot recover or transfer them for you.

Use the control that matches what you want to remove:

• Reset Progress
• Delete one learner
• Delete All Learning Data
• Uninstall the app to remove the app's data from that device

EFX cannot delete local learning data remotely because the app does not send that data to EFX.

Assignment reminders are scheduled on the device. Their wording is generic and does not include a learner name or assignment title. They are not sent to the device as remote push notifications from EFX.

You can turn reminders off by changing notification permission in iOS Settings.

This applies only when a school enables Apple's Student Progress feature and a teacher assigns an activity from Map Study: United States (EDU) through Schoolwork. For that assigned activity, Apple may show the teacher:

• whether the activity was completed;
• time spent on the activity; and
• a quiz score when the activity has a meaningful score.

Puzzle reports completion and time, but not a quiz score. Ordinary practice and other work that was not assigned through Schoolwork stay local and are not intentionally reported as Schoolwork progress.

• ✓The apps do not include advertising.
• ✓The apps do not track you across apps or websites.
• ✓The apps do not send analytics or crash diagnostics to EFX.
• ✓EFX does not sell personal data.

Apple handles App Store purchases and payment details. EFX does not receive your payment-card details. Apple handles App Store information and any Schoolwork information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

If you contact support, EFX receives the message, contact details, and other information you choose to send so it can respond and provide support. That correspondence is separate from learning data kept on the device.
